The first wiki was '''Wiki{{{}}}Wiki''' (wee kee wee kee).  The Wiki{{{}}}Wiki{{{}}}Web was established by Ward Cunningham, who invented and named the Wiki concept. '''Wiki Wiki''' means quick in Hawaiian.

!MoinMoin is a Wiki software implemented in [[MoinMoin:Python|Python]] and distributed as Free Software under [[MoinMoin:GPL|GNU GPL license]].
It was started in 2000 and is still under active development.

The name "MoinMoin" is a common German slang expression (see [[MoinMoin:MoinMoinEtymology|our "MoinMoin" etymology page]] for more about that).
